Nikki Toole Skater Portraits...

As with almost everything I think of, someone else comes out and does it before me.

I had this plan where I would go around to local Skate Parks and start to capture all the riders and do a bunch of portraits of the locals for the attempt at an exhibition. Nikki Toole seems to have beaten me to the punch, and I can't wait to she what she has done..

Running till 9th September at Geelong Gallery.

Sometimes you just have to get THAT CLOSE...

michell_eyes

Yep sometimes you really do have to get that close.

Looking into peoples eyes, gives you a window into everything they are thinking. What do you think she is thinking??

Not street, but very sweet....

I do love shooting my kids on occasions. They can be wonderful subjects, or nightmares.

This is my eldest daughter shot on a Nikon F4S using Ilford FP4 100ISO film. I have to say that I buggered the shot a little as her jacket is in focus, but her face is a bit soft and out of focus. But I still really like it and think it works really well. She is quite shy and this image brings that out with her face very soft.

She will be SHATTERED once she sees this on the net.. Teenagers.......

Well it's just another picture ins't it??

kids

Been a while since my kids have made an appearance in a picture so I chose this one..

I was working on a set of shots that were kinda Zombie/Slasher inspired, that had a sense of innocence and frighteningly simple nature. I had a pretty good one of my wife Michell, and this one of the kids came out great as well. I did struggle to get a full set done so passed on the idea.

I might go back to it one day..

Go over to my flickr and have a look...
