Environmental Portraits... A little different though...

OK boys and goils...... I would like a few hands up on who would be interested on doing an "Environmental Portrait" but in their riding gear and with their bike... I think if I can get like 15 would be a nice number (but knowing me that means like 35-40)..... Just send me a message and we will organize a chat on more what I'm thinking about..

Shopping at Image Melbourne

Popped into Image Melbourne today to spend up on some lovely new gear.

Picked up 2 x 300W Strobe Flash; 2 x Stands; 2 x 80cm x 120cm Soft Box's; and a multitude of cables and bits and bobs to go with it.

I love using this local company. They import their own items as well as selling some brand name stuff. All the items are quite good quality wise, and cheap for something that is sold in a retail store. The best thing is the service they provide.

I asked then about a cable for a Sekonic light meter that I own. I wanted to be able to measure the light as well as set the flash off at the same time. I also wanted to take a photo while I did it so I could measure the flash at the same time. I left my name and number and got a call about an hour later with a 5min voice mail on what cables I should use and how it would all work.

Now that's FABULOUS customer service. I shop at Image Melbourne a lot, and will continue to do so.

This was shot on Fujichrome Velvia 100ISO and converted to Black and White in Photoshop. It was shot on a Mamiya RB 6x7 with a 90mm lens.

Wedding Shoot on the Weekend..

Today is a finalizing day for me as tomorrow it's get packed and ready for a full day of Wedding Shots on Saturday..

As long as the rain holds off here in Melbourne, it should be a lovely day for some photos of a lovely couple. Can't wait to sink my teeth in..

I have been ringing around to try and find a thread reducer for my Mamiya RB67 so I can fit it to my tripod with no luck so far.

Back to the phones for me then.......

aboc Summer Sprint Series

I have a full day of shooting Cycling at the aboc Summer Sprint Series. It's kinda hard trying to shoot interesting angles and images at the cycling, especially a Velodrome. 

 So for me I think I'm starting to make it Big Time......... And cue the music..
